Video recorded in 2010.  Here Malcolm Heggie, a professor at the University of Sussex talks about the properties of graphite (one of the crystalline forms or allotropes) of the amazing material carbon.  He discusses one of the main uses of carbon - the generation of power, in particular nuclear power and goes on to talk about his research work on graphite moderation and the folding properties of graphene sheets.
